- How is the Hyperliquid trader ranking determined?
- From Hyperliquid's public leaderboard we keep only accounts with at least $100K in account value and trades in the period, and show the top 100 by return or P&L for each period. To filter out accounts whose return is inflated to thousands of percent because the balance was near zero right before a deposit, accounts with less than $50K of capital at the start of the period are excluded.
- Where does the data come from and how often does it update?
- Every figure comes from the public API of Hyperliquid, an on-chain derivatives exchange. The ranking refreshes up to once an hour; each trader's positions and fills refresh about once a minute. The fetch time is shown above the ranking table.
- How do 24h, 7d, 30d and all-time returns differ?
- They are the returns over the last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, and since the account was opened. We use the values Hyperliquid computes and publishes per period (period P&L ÷ capital at the start of the period). Shorter periods swing with one or two trades, so look at 30d and all-time as well to judge skill.
- How are names like James Wynn verified?
- A name is attached only when several public on-chain tracking services such as Hypurrscan, Hyperdash and Lookonchain label the same wallet address as the same person. It is not verified with the person; other accounts are shown by wallet address or the display name they set on Hyperliquid.
- Can I see a trader's current positions and liquidation prices?
- Yes. Tap a trader in the ranking to see each open position's asset, long/short side, leverage, entry price, liquidation price and unrealized P&L, plus recent fills and account value history per period. On Hyperliquid, every account's positions are public on-chain.
- Can I put my own returns in the ranking?
- Yes. Sign in to SatoshiNote and connect an exchange API; if you agree to be listed, you appear by nickname in the 'SatoshiNote users' ranking, which only signed-in members can see. Manually entered records cannot be verified and are excluded; only trades synced automatically count.
- Should I copy the traders in this ranking?
- This screen organizes public records for information and is not investment advice. Many top traders use high leverage, so copying the same positions can get liquidated on a small price move, and past returns do not guarantee future results.
